The Many Moods of McCartney will present the classical music of Sir Paul McCartney along with several of his classic pop tunes that have been a part of the soundscape of all of our lives. The Asheville Symphony Orchestra and world renowned artists will perform together in one gala performance together on September 27th.
We are privileged to have been given the opportunity to present the American Gala Premiere of Sir Paul McCartney’s solo piano piece “A LEAF” to be performed by Yongmei Hu, the brilliant classical pianist from Shanghai, China.
The Grammy Award Winning Maestro Roger Kellaway will perform a world premiere of his newest work – “The Many Moods of McCartney” with jazz pianist virtuoso Peter Beets.
Guest Artists include Oscar Winning singer/composer Frankie Previte , composer of Academy Award winning theme song “Time of My Life” from the movie Dirty Dancing and Lisa Sherman; Bobby Caldwell, internationally known for his multi-platinum hits including his timeless classic “What You Won’t Do for Love”. Rising Country singing sensation, Samantha Landrum is currently climbing the country music charts.
One of our newest discoveries will debut with us on this wonderful evening. Her name is Emily West and she is sure to bring down the house with her originality, incredible voice and interpretation of “Golden Slumbers.”
This spectacular concert will benefit ALL4ASHEVILLE, four of the causes Asheville cares most about:the arts, food relief, conserving our environment, and our youth and education.
